Hunting has always been a big part of the cultural heritage on both Frijsenborg and Wedellsborg.

An overall area
of 6197 ha

The real hunting aspect of Frijsenborg and Wedellsborg with wildlife management, wildlife breeding, and releases was introduced by count Mogens Frijs (1849-1923) at Frijsenborg in the 19th century and has set the foundation for the current large wildlife population in the Frijsenborg forests.

The hunting area for extends over 6197 hectares, distributed on both estates.

Hunting at Frijsenborg and Wedellsborg is a very special experience, and our personnel has done their best to arrange a program just for you and your individual wishes for hunting.

Do you want to go hunting?

In the forests of Frijsenborg, you'll find sika deer, red deer, and wild boars, while at Wedellsborg you'll meet roe deer and fallow deer.
